  4. You would do both but what are you trying for? If you are looking to lose weight you would want to do strength training and cardio but if you are just trying to tone without weight loss, you would want to do strength training.

  5. Both but it is important to cut your calories down as well if you would ike lose weight. . Cardio will help you lose weight and lifting weights will help you tone up.

  6. It depends on the exercise you do & the amount of time spent doing them. You might not notice a significant difference, but both can be achieved at the same time.

  7. Depending on your calorie intake, you would most likely lose weight only. If you are significantly overweight it could be awhile before you notice any body changes. If you are already in fairly decent shape, however, a month of hard workouts would show up on in the mirror pretty well. If you really want to look toned, set attainable goals for each week you work out, and don’t be dissapointed if your body takes a little time to catch up to all the sweat!

  9. Exercise does not always let someone lose weight. Exercise generally helps individuals to tone up and tighten up. You’ll probably lose the inches instead of the pounds. But what the heck. . . your gonna look good anyway. Losing weight is all about diet, coupled with exercise you can obtain about anything you want. Be reasonable about what you eat, and exercise daily. You’ll be happier, healthier, and will look a whole lot better. Thanks for asking.

  10. both- if you are dieting as well. . . but every day might be a little stressful on all levels; try a rest day (one per week) and this will be okay.

  11. Depending on how defined you are in the first place. If you are rather thin or stalky, you will lose little weight and become more toned. If your more of a larger size, you will lose more weight and eventually become toned over a 4 – 6 week period provided your workout schedule.

Whatever your schedule may be, for more of a toned body, use light weights with more repetitions in prefered areas. To lose weight, excessive cardiovascular workouts on targeted areas.

  12. if you are eating unhealthy or more calories than you expend-no weight lose ergo a healthy diet ( less calories) should definitely produce some tightening (toning ) by the 4th week

  13. There are a lot of variables to look at and question(what exercises are you doing?,What lifts are you performing? And want type of cardio program are you on?) You would need to combine the three aspects of weight lose(eating right, resistance training and calorie burning cardio, interval training. ) to achieve your goals. Plus I would recommend that you don’t work out everyday, this can lead to over-training causing injuries and you may become burned out. Good luck.

  14. It depends whether you strength train or cardio train.

Strength Train: Quick 15 min max weight. Example: Bench Press / 3 sets of 5 reps / 100 pounds.
    VS.
Cardio Training: 45 min middle weight. Example: Bench Press / 10 sets of 5 reps / 30 pounds.

Strength training builds muscles and burns less calories. Cardio training keeps the heart rates pumping for a longer period of time building some muscle but burning a larger number of calories.
